Cheese was formed in 1995 bearing the name Screeching Weasels. then the band changed into Flower Children before settling for the name Cheese. Two years later, they made a drastic change, letting go of their vocalist and taking in Ian Tayao to take over the vocal duties (of then a member of the band Gothic Guilt now Sweet Gravity). a series of changes followed after Ian joined the band, with influences in many types of music including funk, punk, hip-hop, trash and hardcore music. Recently, Paolo "8" and Cj Olaguera joined the band for more sonic sounds, making the band's sound more round and percussive in it's beats. The band is currently playing in clubs like Rockmore's Place and John's Place (in Marikina). They also play at underground concerts and guests at concerts. "Cheese" means "support".
